John and Mei's latest - My reply to Maurice

John and Mei and Currin News

.Hi Maurice and thanks for your welcome comments.

Yes the wooden anniversary of 5 years turned into a bit of a joke with Mei and I exchanging toothpicks.
Even though David was in the Navy he is a bit of an aircraft buff - speaking of the Hastings Aircraft - I flew back from Singapore to Auckland in the last RNZAF flight of one, very uncomfortable with a bucket for a toilet bouncing around in the rear.
Have been to Dalian - Port Arthur several times - click link here for information and several streets are filled with Russian architecture still and also Japanese. Very nice place with mostly clean technology as their main industry but still some heavy industry which is being cleaned up. They, alternately hold the Davos Forum there.
Public transport includes some old and some new trams and a new railway which runs up to Harbin near Russia several times a day at 350KMH and stops in Anshan, a very nice and comfortable way to travel.
I did travel on a faster train in Shanghai which is a maglev one and winds up to 430kmh, very impressive.
Enjoy your weekend, we have an extra long one celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival.
Best wishes to you both from John and Mei in Anshan
