We go shopping in Shenyang a couple of times a year to pick up a few extras for Christmas and sometimes for other little treats. Shenyang is the capital of our province and is a larger city with about 9 million people and is nearly 100 Km north of us.
We went to the Train station but none running for a couple of hours so decided on the bus. The train is really cheap at about one NZ dollar, the bus is about six NZ dollars. On our way to the bus station across the road we were intercepted by a taxi driver touting for passengers for Shenyang in a shared ride. Cost by taxi was seven dollars fifty so off we went in the taxi.
Picked the wrong day to buy a turkey for Christmas as today is Thanksgiving Day and none left but got everything else we wanted.
Another taxi home and the weather had turned a bit messy and it snowed all the way back but home with our goodies and of course none from New Zealand, just Aussie stuff and also from The US and Europe.
Cannot understand why NZ is not selling more here, maybe everybody is very happy with the way things are back home.
